Name? Background? Where are you from?

Hi! I’m Zulal Cizmeci, Born at 1989 in Izmir, Turkey and currently living in Istanbul. At 2014 graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Fine Arts Faculty Traditional Turkish Arts and specialized in Marbling Art. Now, ı make master dagree .My work technique is about combining collage with traditional marbling art and while doing that, trying to analyse human psychology. For this purpose, creating and working at my own art studio.

What kind of art do you create?

My work is combination of traditional marble art and collage art, which consists a harmony in itself.

What is the overall message of your art? What are you trying to say?

Actually there is no overrall message in my works. Each one of them implies different meaning, which derives from both reality and surreality.

How did you get into art? What made you an artist?

Well, there is probably lots of thing depends on it but simply, its instinct of creativity.

How did you learn your technique? Self taught?

I learned traditional marble art at my university, which was my field. But my current technique is self taught. So yeah, its combination of traditional discipline and freedom of self thought.

What would you tell someone who wants to be an artist?

Be authentic, once you taste the freedom of authenticity you cant go back.
