Turtle Bags was founded in 2002 to raise awareness of the social, ecological and environmental issues of single use plastic bags – mostly coming from supermarkets. It takes anywhere between 10 and 100 for a plastic bag to degrade.
When these plastic bags are thrown away, many end up in our seas and waterways and Leatherback Turtles are disproportionately affected due to them mistaking the bags for jelly fish - which they sadly eat.
Inspired by Leatherback Turtles, Turtle Bags was founded to promote the positive environmental benefits of using life cycle cotton bags instead of single use plastic bags.
Turtle Bags come in many shapes, sizes, colours and designs.
